By Reverend Keith A. Gordon, About.com Guide

"The selection this month is a little lighter than the onslaught we had in April, but no less heady. Peter Parcek – 'Mathematics of Love' (VizzTone Records)

One of the best-kept secrets of blues music, innovative guitarist Peter Parcek performs a mixed-bag of blues, rock, jazz, and soul, and makes the whole thing work like few could. Pinetop Perkins’ former bandleader steps out here with his second solo album, The Mathematics of Love a rockin’ collection produced by guitarist and blues music journalist Ted Drozdowski. Featuring guest appearances by legendary keyboardist Al Kooper and guitarist Ronnie Earl, The Mathematics of Love includes covers of classic material from Peter Green, Kokomo Arnold, Ray Charles, and Jessie Mae Hemphill as well as Parcek’s well-played originals."
